DMCA & Copyright Policy
ProofKit respects intellectual property rights. This page explains how to submit a copyright complaint and how counter-notices are handled.
01 /Designated contact
Send copyright notices to [email protected] with the subject line DMCA.
02 /What a notice must include
A valid notice (consistent with 17 U.S.C. § 512(c)(3)) should contain: identification of the copyrighted work; identification of the allegedly infringing material or route and enough detail to locate it; your contact information; a good-faith statement that the use is not authorized; a statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are authorized to act for the rights holder; and your physical or electronic signature.
03 /What ProofKit can do
ProofKit is a marketplace and does not host user content. Traffic is end-to-end encrypted and exits through independent operators, so we cannot inspect or remove specific content from the tunnel. We can forward valid notices to the relevant operator and act on operator-level policy. Operators control their exit policies (for example, Torrent Guard).
04 /Counter-notice
If you believe material was wrongly targeted, you may submit a counter-notice to the same address with your contact details, identification of the material, and a statement under penalty of perjury that it was removed or disabled by mistake or misidentification.
05 /Repeat infringers
Accounts or operators that are the subject of repeated valid complaints may be terminated.
