A VPN You Pay per GB, Not per Month

Each node's operator sets a price per GB. The marketplace shows it with the 20% network fee already included, so the number you see is the number you pay. A 2-hop route adds the entry node's price: you pay both nodes' prices plus the fee.

The price is fixed into your session when you connect. If the operator changes it later, your session keeps the old price until you reconnect. Operators can change a price at most once per 24 hours, and an increase can be at most three times the current price. olcRTC traffic is the exception: from 20 November 2026 it has one network-wide price per GB, read when the traffic moves instead of fixed when you connect.

• Upload and download both count.
• A GB is 1024³ bytes (1,073,741,824).
• Every transport is metered the same way, olcRTC included. From 20 November 2026 olcRTC traffic has a network-wide price per GB of its own: the olcRTC page has the prices.
• You are charged as the node reports your traffic. Amounts under 1 MB are carried into the next report rather than rounded away.
• When your balance reaches zero, the session closes by itself. Top up and connect again.

It depends on how much you use. Divide a plan's monthly price, in TON, by the price per GB of the route you would use. Below that many GB a month, paying per GB costs less; above it, the plan does. For example, a plan at 3 TON a month and a route at 0.012 TON per GB break even at 250 GB.

Paying per GB suits a VPN you need now and then, a backup for when your usual one is blocked, or exits in several countries. Heavy daily streaming adds up, so check the numbers first.
